Time: 2019-08-09 | Updated: Print

The Asia-Pacific Congress on Catalysis (APCAT) is an important international conference in catalysis field started from 1997 and is held every three years by the Asian-Pacific Association of Catalysis Societies (APACS). The 8th APCAT has just been held in Bangkok, Thailand on 4-7 August 2019. About 800 participants have attended the conference. The APCAT-8 congress included information on the Catalysis for clean energy and fuels, Environmental Catalysis, Reaction mechanism and kinetics, Catalysis for industrial & fine chemicals, and Catalytic materials & design. And the congress is covered through plenary and keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations and this is the great chance to bring together academic and industrial researchers to share and broaden viewpoints.

Three representatives, Prof. Ye Wang, Dr. Jincan Kang, Mr. Wei Zhou from our group attended this conference. Prof. Wang was invited to give a keynote lecture with a theme of “Direct conversion of syngas into chemicals: Breaking the selectivity limitation”. Mr. Wei Zhou gave an oral presentation on “Direct conversion of syngas to aromatics over bifunctional catalysts”. We also presented one poster for syngas conversion.
